Could have brokered an Armistace like we did in Korea ending hostilities instead of abruptly fleeing the combat zone. Smacks of disnhonorable behavior to me not in keeping with "Peace with Honor" The South Viets suffered terribly after we pulled out and left them on their own.

Maybe a quarter million casualties would have been better than 58,000? Ho reached out to FDR but we love France...so..
The difference as I see it in Vietnam & Korea is that we negotiated an Armistice with the North Korean's though we are still technically still in a state of war with them. In Vietnam, we simply pulled out and left our Allies holding the bag, to me that seems rather dishonorable
I would disagree, Honor is not overrated, it is underserved by many who took an oath to serve with honor while they "protect & defend" the principles laid down by our forefather's when the U.S. Constitution was drafted. Too many claim honor that isn't due #DrainTheDeepStateSwamp
Has nothing to do with "white man's burden" you either earn it, or you don't. There are far too many who claim to be honorable while stealing us blind in Washington D.C. and every State in the union. Time to start prosecutions based on corruption & malfeasance. #DrainingTheSwamp
