Westboro Baptist Church THRILLED

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Equality Poll

Do you think extremist religious groups should be able to spend money in our elections?

No opinion →

Just recently, Trump issued a horrific executive order to “vigorously promote religious liberty.”

What this means is that anti-LGBT churches and organizations are now able to pour money into political elections.

The potential ramifications of this are mind-blowing. Many religious groups are extremely well-funded. And now, they have the ability to buy off elections and push their extremism into legislation.

Look, this isn’t about “religious liberty.” This is a deliberate attack on Equality.

Trump’s actions are a clear violation of the separation of church and state. And if we don’t speak up right now, he’ll continue to abuse his power to give bigots what they want.

That’s why we want to know what you think:

Should extremist religious organizations be able to donate to elections?
YES → NO →
No opinion →

Trump’s order is a deliberate attack on the Johnson Amendment, a 1954 law that stopped churches and religious groups from getting involved in political elections.

Without these regulations, grassroots anti-LGBT organizations like the Westboro Baptist Church are fully capable of replacing pro-Equality leaders with mouthpieces for their hateful agenda.

This order is a DIRECT affront to our democracy -- and if we don’t stop them now, homophobes will continue to chip away at our values.

That’s why we want to hear your response. Take our poll now:

Thanks for your response,
