OLD WOODEN BRIDGE OVER THE HAMPTON RIVER (NH)

I remember well the sound of those wooden boards (ta-tum, ta-tum, ta-tum) under the bus wheels singing a song that meant we were at last in Hampton Beach. The evening bus from Worcester took about two hours to get there using route 110. The bridge was replaced with a concrete one in 1950. Just another sound of the past that I'll never hear again. 8)
