Breaking: Islamist Mohammed Morsi declared Egypt's presidential winner

The Egypt election commission has declared Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohammed Morsi the winner of the country's first free presidential vote, according to the Associated Press. Morsi won with 51.7% of the vote compared with 48.3% for challenger Ahmed Shafiq, the commission said.
